Bottom Line is defense wins championships. If the Warriors ever want to reach the Finals it must first start on the defensive end. They are great offensively but good offense can only take you so far. Over the last 9 years all NBA Finals winners had a great defensive core. With the exception of the Heat in 05-06 (although they did have the big aristotle down low!) A big man will definetely help out but Don Nelson does not stress the importance of defense. Mike D'Antoni has the same philosophy as Nelson. Get a shot up within 12 seconds and shoot more shots than your opponent. It's really sad the Warriors did not take advantage of the trade deadline.
