I just didn't click for the Warriors tonight. They started off the night with a horrible 1-7 shooting and seemed like they could not get things going. The warriors soon began to play together and move the ball around to get open shots. Stephen Jackson led the way with 8 assists including a couple nice dishes to Andris Beidrins. The Warriors allowed the Bobcats to score a season high 61 in the first half. Things settle a bit for the Warriors in the third when everything seemed to be going down for the Warriors. They outscored to Bobcats 28-18 in the third until about 2 minutes left in the third when the Cats rallied off 10 unanswered to reclaim the lead going into the fourth. The fourth quarter was slow for both teams until the later minutes when the two teams went score for score. Raymond Felton, of the Bobcats, tied the game late in the fourth with a runner in the lane. With 18 seconds left Boris Diaw, of the Bobcats intentionally fouled stephen Jackson. An odd foul it was Jackson went on to make both free throws. with next to nothing on the clock Diaw redeams himself with a dagger 3 pointer with 2.9 seconds left. The Warriors end of throwing the ball away trying to get the ball in play.

Continue reading "Warriors lose a heart breaker against the Charlotte Bobcats"

Don Nelson has reached a milestone in his coaching career. With the Warriors 133-120 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday, Don Nelson has won his 1,300th game as a head coach. This puts him second to the great Lenny Wilkens who claims 1,332 wins. In the first quarter Nelson nearly lost his cool with the refs but later calmed down to coach the Warrirs to a victory despit 17 careless turnovers. The Warriors sloppy play was overlooked becasue of the outstanding numbers they put up on the scoreboard. The Warriors scored over 120 points in 4 games this month alone. They were led tonight by Stephen Jackson who had 26 with Maggette right behind him with 25. The Warriors played without their starting center Andris Biedrins but the rookie Anthony Ran
Continue reading "Don Nelson Reaches a Coaching Milestone"

The Warriors lost another close one to the division rival Kobe Bryant and the lakers. The Warriors lost this game in the fouth quarter as they always seem to do. What the Warriors need in the linup is a solid big man. Yes bedrins is a great player and turiaf is a great defensive player but if they had a Chris bosh or a Kevin Garnet that will give then solid numbers on a daily basis they could be one of the top teams in the league. The Warriors right now have so much talent in the guards they have but very little depth in the center spot. The warriors already run an offense the most teams cannot keep up with. The run and gun style gives a lot of teams headaches. If you put a dominant center in the mix you wont have to slow your fast breaks and in th
Continue reading "Warriors in need of a big man"
